OVERVIEW
In early March 2025, a major operator on the Norwegian Continental Shelf identified a critical leak in a high-pressure 2″ 900# flange connection. The faulty gasket posed serious operational and HSE risks, demanding immediate action to avoid further complications.
WHAT WE DID
Our IK TOPSIDE team mobilised quickly to design and deliver a clamp engineered specifically for this live system repair. Within the same month, the clamp was fabricated, delivered offshore, and successfully installed.
Technical Expertise
This was a 100% tailor-made solution. Drawing on extensive experience in pressure containment and custom repair tools, our engineering team—led by Ørjan Ohm with site supervision by Jonny Bakke—developed a precision clamp to seal the flange without halting operations.
